Merriam’s Craters 4/4 to 4/6 2008

Weather conditions were light winds in the morning and breezy afternoons

Shane soared all three days, from the bench on Sheba. One light wind flight from Merriam’s around to the new lz on the North West side.

Russ Malachi, returning pilot, after a 10 year lay off, ground handled and then flew the bench on Friday evening, also flew on Sat.

Presten Wood flew on Sat morning, and Sunday morning. Soared on Sunday!

Rafael flew on Sat morning from the bench, did some nice shallow turns.
He flew again on Sunday morning rising above launch briefly ,for two
flights.

In the three days at the Craters we did not encounter any other pilots flying!
Keven Kennedy did come out on Friday evening and sponsor Shane while I worked with Russ. Thanks Keven.

We used Rafaels truck to jockey gliders up and down Sheba assembled, that was nice!
