Flying this weekend

Anyone available to fly this weekend? I can make either morning-afternoon work, but I can't make a glass-off on either day.
The forecast does not look promising for Miller. Mustang might work early afternoon. South Mountain looks like a possibility for late morning to early afternoon as well.

I can fly this weekend...both Saturday and Sunday.
What about the Whetstones?

Eric,
It doesn't look strong enough or southwest enough for the Stones either day. Weather Underground says Saturday surface winds are 5-8 W going WNW later. Similar Sunday.
It might be ok for Box, but the prediction is winds aloft to go from 5-10 kts to 10-15 kts NW between 6000 and 9000 on Saturday. It could be gusty, I would take a wire crew either day just in case.
Eric Smith is scooter towing some of his students Saturday morning at McCartney Road in Casa Grande, and doing some payout tows in the afternoon at Houser Road. I'm going to go hang out with them. Want to come and check it out?

I'm not sure what to expect this weekend. From what I see now the best bet might be Box, but I'll probably recheck things late this evening and in the morning.

I'm planning to try South Mountain, and I'm happy to take anyone else who wants to go. The Phoenecians are talking about being on the saddle around noon, but I may go earlier depending on the weather forecast tomorrow morning.

Manuel collected me from the saddle after a pleasant 32-minute hike, and we were on launch around 11:30 a.m. to find it fluttering very lightly in from the south. It was probably close to 1:00 p.m. before we started seeing cycles that were long and strong enough to soar.
Five of the seven pilots (including myself) got flushed after extended sled rides of various lengths. The other two flew for at least 30 minutes and then top-landed.
Eric, you didn't miss much. While you could have launched during the short window of straight-in cycles, it probably would have been difficult to stay up.
