Me and Shane and Raquel, along with a whole host of PGs, most of them from out of town flew box this afternoon. Conditions were mostly kinda light although Daniella reported some high winds for her above the top. Shane got a 22 min flight and I got maybe 10 min., not quite soarable for me but Shane managed to scratch out a good flight...congrats to Shane.

Good meeting all of the PGs. You people are welcome anytime but I recommend the spring time, so come back then and fly with us again.
If you guys go out tonight, let us know....we may join you.

John and I hiked up to the saddle from the LZ, then got extended sled rides at South Mt. I was above launch briefly and found several thermals before slowly sinking out.

3 or 4 other PG's managed to get 500 or 800 over for awhile, and there was about 10-12 or so PGs in all. It was mostly sunny with a few clouds, and the thermals slowly faded out about the time we headed home.

We had a good time and it sounds like the Box flights were good too.

The SD crew had a blast at Box Canyon today, except for the hike up. Thanks Ross, for listening to me curse the whole way. Three of the 5 pilots had 45+ min. flights with my husband topping out 1200 ft. above launch. I averaged around 600-800 over and founds tons of lift out in front over the flats. Air was super smooth and buoyant. I'm not quite sure what time I launched but think it was around 2:30 and I was the first one off the hill. The winds were certainly stronger aloft around 16 mph and ever stronger in the compression zones. Lots of afternoon upper level clouds streaking the sky.

Good fun and great company.
