2014 XC League
Posted: Fri Feb 14, 2014 2:13 pm
Background on the post below from Andrew Rayhill, this year's XC league organizer, is available on AZHPA.org. We had hoped to set up our own league section on Leonardo, but it seems that's not going to happen. In any case, you can see the rules below. We will have a number of organized league meets at which we'll fly tasks, either race-to-goal or open-distance. In addition we'll also use XC flights submitted to Leonardo for scoring. Please contact Andrew or me if you have questions.

So no dice on setting up the league. I will just have to sort through the flights myself. No big deal.
Designated comp days:
Oatman Flyin March 15
April 19th TBA
June 7th TBA
Mingus July 5th
Mingus Labor day weekend Aug 30th.
May add some more dates later on if there is interest.
So scoring will be the combined Leonardo score of your best 5 XC flights plus your combined score on the designated tasks.
Flights can count in both categories. In other words, you can submit your scored task flight to Leonardo and have it count as one of your 5 XC flights as well.
Must have entered and paid prior to the date of any submitted flights. Must be current USHPA and AZHPA member.
Airspace violation = no score for that flight.
Any disputes or discrepancies will be settled by the comp committee. (me)
