kiting

Post by Irina » Sun Dec 13, 2009 8:16 am

Greetings! I will be in Tucson next two weeks! I am interested to go kiting, flying, hiking and available any day during these weeks. Unfortunately I do not have car. My phone is 415 202 47 41. I am so happy to be here again!
I would like to pay my due for membership: can I do it on line?

Hi, Irnia

Welcome back! I hope you get some good flying in while you're here. Lew Smith goes out during the week, so check here each day and you may find you have someone to go with.

If you'd like to pay your dues on-line, you can use the web page at http://www.sahga.com/MemberFrm/MemberFrm.html where we use PayPal to accept credit card payments.

Irina,
Glad to hear that you will be visiting for a few weeks. I would be happy to take you to Mustang - or maybe Box. The other sites (like Miller) are too much for my current skill level (I had a 10 year period of no flying and my launches are now even worse than when I last flew with you!). I have your phone number and will call you whenever the wind looks good and I have time to fly. I also post a message on this site before I go flying. My home phone is 749-1296.
This is the Christmas holiday season and I have lots of duties as a grandparent (and great grandparent), so my flying days will be limited.

Lew,
I wonder if you're America's only Great Grandparent who's an active PG pilot?

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to Tucson Irina! I'm trying to rehabilitate a back injury (unrelated to flying) at the moment so I'm not yet at the point of being able to fly. But if I continue to make progress I may be able try some kiting next week and would always like some company. I'll let you know.

Dues due upon reciet...

Post by KenS » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:03 am

Silly girl, evey one knows, you can't pay "your dues"..."On-line" What is this world coming too? Period & question mark, ecamlation. Violation of laws of the universe, and all.

But you can pay them late some night at my house no problem. Pay Pal and good vibes accepted. Fully accreddited, satisfaction garrrentied. (south of mason dixie line that is).

Fred thank you! Sorry to hear about your back injury. If you go to kite I am in. I did not fly three years and I did kite this week-end and realize that I want to fly very much and the same time need to be more familiar with my equipment in order to be on safe side again.

Irina,

I plan to take my wing to the park early afternoon Saturday for some kiting. I am going to fabricate a video camera mount to put up in the wing.

I have another commitment at 4PM, so it will probably be something like 1PM-4PM.

Great kiting on Saturday. Nice consistent breeze out of the north.

Stuart, just find a big grassy park or soccer field with minimal structure upwind to make mechanical turbulence.
