As of thursday morning, ADDS is saying 10 from the SE at 6k and 9k for Saturday mid day. granted this is really too early to tell, but it's looking good for Miller for this coming weekend.
Eric and I are scheduled to head on down. I'll be demonstrating how to sink out in a demo WW Sport2 (with hopefully good launch and landing technique).

The updated winds are looking light south in the AM going to west in the PM. For the bag wings it's looking more like a Box afternoon than Miller morning. We'll check the AM update but Gunter and I are tentatively planning an afternoon hike up Box.
Miller Report- Saturday, October 30th 2004
Eric, Justin E, Dave Bishop and I, with driver Barry arrived on launch around 10:40. Nicely blowing in on the SE launch. The road to launch is still passable, but has had some rain damage, and is a little rougher than normal.
By the time we had our wings spread, it was lightly blowing over the back, from the NE. We kicked dirt for a while and occasionally saw a light up cycle, so Eric and I suited up and hooked into our WW Sport2 demo gliders. Eric in the big one, and me in the little 135. After 10 min or so, just before noon, a short cycle came in and Eric was off, climbing quickly right after launch. I waited through about 40 minutes of light NE before a little puff came up and I was off to join Eric, who had been hovering a grand or two over, and had just run off to Miller peak.
The air was pretty nice, once aloft. With nicely formed lift that built for the next hour. Would have been perfect for PGing, and was fun for HG as well. Eric managed to get to 10,200, but I couldn't seem to break through 9,500- although every thermal seemed to take me right up to that ceiling.
Dave and Justin decided not to stand on launch and wait for a cycle that might never come, so they broke down. And then of course you know what happened- some nice launchable moments. Oh well. Live to fly another day.
Some high clouds blocked the sun and it was flush city for me. I found myself 600 feet over the LZ when a small thermal announced itself to me, and I rode her to over 9K- and meeting up with Eric along the way. Only other excitement for the afternoon was that I circled with 4 red-tail hawks at once! Got pretty close to them, with one checking me out and coming with in a few feet of my wing-tip. Not often that I see a gaggle of RedTails. They topped out just above me at 9,500, and bolted for the valley. Bye kids...

Thanks for coming out to day,I really enjoyed flying. Thermals of 800 up are such a nice surprise this late in the year. The air temperature at 10,200 was a little brisk for me! I was ready to land after and hour and forty.
It was a pleasant surprise to see you make that low save.
I think your right it blew NE until 1 at least.
The Sport II floated like a feather in to land right in the set up area, within 25 feet of a couple of spectators.
