In order to fly most sites in Southern Arizona, a pilot is required to be a current member of both SAHGA (Southern Arizona Hang Glider Association) and USHPA (United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association). A member of the Phoenix-based, Arizona Hang Gliding and Paragliding club (AZHPA) does not require a SAHGA membership, due to a reciprocity agreement, but does require a current USHPA membership.
Your membership dues support flying site improvements and maintenance and third-party liability insurance for our site landholders.
The Annual Individual SAHGA Membership starts on January 1st and expires on December 31st of the membership year. Members have access to the SAHGA Members-Only section of the website and message board.
If you join SAHGA after November 1st, your membership will be good until the end of the following year.
