Flying Sunday

Sunday looks like a better day than Sat? Anyone up for that?

Weekend

I could probably fly either day, though it looks high pressure and really hot. An alternative would be to just wait until the monsoon comes back.

Actually, I'd like to do both days. Rafael, are you still up for Saturday? Eric, I'm in for Sunday. It will be *way* cooler at Miller launch than it will be in Tucson.

ADDS predicts Saturday is SE 5-10 all altitudes at 11 AM, L&V at 5 PM. Dr. Jack's top of lift is 16k, -3 at 13k and predicts winds 10-15 SE. Weather Channel says 0% chance of rain.

ADDS says Sunday L&V all altitudes at 11 AM, NW 0-5 at 5 PM. Dr. Jack's top of lift is again 16k, -3 at 13k, winds 0-5 NW. Weather Channel says 10% chance of rain.

I'll plan on stopping by Houghton & I-10 Saturday at 8 AM for anyone who wants to ride. Sunday I'll probably meet Eric at his place.

John / Eric

Turns out i can go Sat or Sun, but not both.
Big question is do we have a driver?
Debbie can't make it this weekend.

Scooter towing in 115 degrees doesn't appeal to me, Let's not & say we did.
I'll hydrate Sat. for Sunday.

Sounds like no takers for Saturday, so I'll bag that and plan on meeting you guys Sunday instead.

I'll keep Sunday open for flying. If you're going to scooter tow tomorrow Eric you might consider trying the top of Mt. Lemmon.

Sunday Forecast

Tomorrow's forecasts are somewhat contradictory (pick your desired wind direction). I'll recheck in the morning.

Morning Update

Post by Fred » Sun Jul 12, 2009 7:55 am

This morning's forecast is almost as consistently inconsistent as last night - anything from light NW to SE this morning going to light NW to SW this afternoon. So given the equivocal forecast and equivocal interest in flying today, I'll look forward to the return of the monsoon next weekend.
