Aaron, Andy, and I are going to South Mountain on Saturday. I'm leaving my house at 6:40 a.m., and we'll leave Tangerine and I-10 around 7:00 a.m.

Sunday might work at Mustang on Sunday. (The predictions keep changing, but we don't get many chances in the Monsoon.) Is anyone else interested?

Andy,
No, I well be busy in the morning, but if the weather forecast looks good, I will be at Mustang in the afternoon. I will post my decision before noon.

Report on Mustang weather, Sunday, July 25

Post by lewsmith » Mon Jul 26, 2010 10:37 am

I did NOT get a flight on Sunday at Mustang. It did not rain at Mustang but there were numerous storms in the vicinity. Between 3 and 4 PM the wind was NNW at 10 to 15 mph and the birds were having fun ridge soaring. Then the wind switched to being very light from the SW and the birds disappeared. At 5 PM the wind switched strongly East. I think I will wait until it is less rainy before try Mustang again.
