I would have been happy to gone to Box, but by the time I found out, I was already halfway up Babad Do'ag.

Box Canyon Sat 23 Oct

Orrin Smith, Shane Smith, John Lowery,Eric Tucker an I were the pilots, Shawn,Rebecca an Rachacle drove for us.
Conditions were a little difficult to predict so we chose afternoon to fly. We met in the meadow at 1:30.
I launched first in the Sport 2 an soared around launch, sunk out after 5 minutes. The knoll was working an I climbed in 600 to 800 up to 6700.
Orrin launched next an got up at launch an left there above. We flew together over the spine. The wind was splitting the hill at the PG launch. We worked both sides of the spine in light thermals. Shane launched while we were soaring. He sledded it out to the LZ. Orrin landed after about twenty minutes. I came in right after him, for 40+ minutes. Sure helps to have squares in the fall conditions. Tucker launched next an conditons were waning, got a good landing in down at the bail out with the rest of us. John launched last to sled it as well. We packed up Shawn picked us up.
