I am interested in Mustang or Box - provided that the forecasts still look good - on Sunday, November 14. Is anyone else interested?

Hi Andy,
I'm not sure where Lew goes for winds aloft, but the above address is what I look at if the proposed flight time is near (they don't forecast out very far). These are upper air forecasts updated by balloon soundings, and of course, they aren't always right, but I've found them to be better than anything else I know about.
For this afternoon at 5pm they show WNW at 14knots at 6200ft. That's for a location near the airport. It's usually a little higher at launch probably because of the thermal cycles followed by the glassoff.

Report on Box flights
Sunday was another good day at Box. Eric Smith, Andy Miller and I had an adventure riding up the backside of Box. Eric wanted to show us his new proposed launch site, but instead managed to get his vehicle hung up on a big boulder hidden in the tall grass. Ed Hileman missed the adventure, but showed up at launch to help Andy and me launch. At the PG launch, the winds were perfect - NNW at 10 to 13 mph, but at the HG launch, the winds were very cross and light. Ed did not bring his wing, but Andy,Eric and I all had very nice glassoff flights lasting until about sunset. The lift area was very broad, but I doubt that anyone got more than 1000 feet over the PG launch. We all landed in the front "bailout" LZ. Thanks to Andy for convincing me to go to Box on Sunday and thanks to Eric for driving us up to the backside trail.
