Box Sat
John an I met Tucker an Rackel in the front LZ around 1:30.
We arrived at launch to find light NNW winds of 5 to 8 mph.
I set up quickly, flew the Falcon ( Frankenstein). I was in the air by 3:30, easy to get above launch then over to the peaks to the south. Nice smooth air with 300 up thermals. Circled with a large Golden eagle to 6500msl.
Tucker launched next an worked his way up to the peaks. We flew from the PG area back an forth to the HG launch area with ease.
John launched last an joined us for the last 45 minutes of our flight.
John landed first then Tucker an I.
It was a good day for soaring, the dusting of snow on the north faces an the red sunset was a real delight! The glass off allowed us to fly out to the LZ with almost no loss of altitude. After two hours aloft I landed an broke down as the driver arrived.
Another Great day at Box.
Thanks Guys it was fun.
