Miller Friday

Eric has a tandem or two to do, and I'm playing hooky from work to fly Miller. It looks like it could happen if we get there early.

ADDS forecasts L&V at 6000' and 9000' at 11 AM, going west 10-15 by 5 PM. A classic Miller get-off-early day. Dr. Jack predicts the top of lift over 18k with the -3 around 15k.

Because of the tandems we're meeting at Houghton road around 7 AM. We'll have room for others if anyone else feels like getting up early.

Personal records.

Set a couple of personal records yesterday with a 14.5k MSL height above Carr and Miller peaks, which was about 2k above where I'd been before. I could have kept going up if I'd wanted. The second record was in distance, where I flew to the bird sanctuary for my first time.
About a 1 hour flight.
Looking forward to higher and much farther flights....
