Flew "A" Mt this AM (Sunday)

After checking weather Wunderground (SE) and the BIG flag on top of the new Unisource bldg (SSE) downtown (we live just a couple blocks away), Sherry and I drove over to the "A", checked out the LZ (calm with a hint of N!), drove up to the parking lot and found a nice 5-8 breeze in from the SSE. So I set up and off I went. The time was ~ 9:30 AM.

The ridge lift didn't last long and I had to scramble down and around the hill, and for a few seconds looked pretty carefully at the Santa Cruz wash as an LZ possibility. But managed to maintain a couple hundred over the road and put it in nicely in the south end of the real LZ. The LZ wind was now 1-2 NE. Went back to the top, the wind was a bit stronger (7-10 SSE), and with the slight but definite LZ wind from the NE decided to call it good with just the one sledder.

nice to be so close to the A. I guess you don't live in Rita Ranch any more.

I was running up in Reddington Pass this morning- and there was a 15G25 East wind through there.
