FWD: Open heart surgery for Dani

Post by jlowery » Mon May 07, 2012 9:38 am

This was sent by Robin Hastings of the RGSA:

Dear John,
Hello once again! I wanted you to know that it looks like our Dry Canyon Fly-In really is going to happen this year; we will probably get some rain this week, and that would be the insurance we need to keep the forest (and our launches) open. The second part of the message is from Bill Cummings.

George and Velma have been leading lights in the hang gliding world out in Alamogordo, and this week they could use some help from God and especially surgeons. Certainly Eric ought to know about this, and Jason. Anyway, I sure hope I get to see you in a few more weeks. Think about coming out for some real good flying!

Pilots,
Some of you know George and Velma Woodcock that live just north of
Alamogordo, NM and may even camped out at their Big "G" landing zone during one of the RGSA's fly-ins.

Their daughter Dani (now 23) will be away at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia (I hope I got that right?) for her second open heart surgery. Velma has set up a blogspot to keep in touch with everyone while she and Dani are away from home. That is where I will check in to find out what is going on out there and offer support. The above address will take you there if you are interested in offering support. Many of you offered moral support during her first open heart surgery. (Thank you!)

Dani has had a "tough row to hoe" most of her life, any prayers will be
greatly appreciated.

Robin could you send this on to AZ and CO? I can't get past either boards
security to post.

Thanks for forwarding Robin's note about Dani.

My thoughts are with them.
