I'm trying to figure out what to do on the long Memorial Day weekend.
The RGSA is having their annual Dry Canyon memorial day fly-in, and Robin Hastings tells me they're getting rain to reduce the fire hazard, so they think it will happen as scheduled. It takes about 5 hours to drive there, but the flying is usually terrific.
I haven't seen any announcement from AZHPA about a Mingus fly-in that weekend, but I'm certain if the weather permits they will be flying there. That's about a 3.5 hour drive, there's great camping at launch and there are several nice hotels in Cottonwood.
We could always camp & fly down at Miller, if the weather cooperates.
Who is going where?

I'm hoping to stay in town rather than travel and camp somewhere, but I'd consider a day-trip (with maybe a one-night stay) to Mingus.
If the conditions are right, I'd love to fly Miller. Otherwise I'll likely be looking to fly Mt. Lemmon.
Andy and I are planning to run XC tasks wherever we are, and if it turns out we're in two different locations, we'll run tasks in each if there is interest.
