Miller Saturday?

Post by jlowery » Fri Jul 20, 2012 12:22 pm

Eric is interested in flying Miller tomorrow (Saturday) and I'm planning on driving. It looks like a nice monsoonal day, SE 7-10 all day long.

Anyone else interested?

Monsoon Madness continues! Another good soaring day at Miller, cloudbase was 9K. Overcast skys part of the day kept the temps cool.
Orrin launched first in the Falcon, gained right out , Raf next, getting over launch easily.
I caught the over cast an scratched for a while to get above, its sweeter if you work for it! We flew around for more than an hour. A few storm clouds dumped on Sierria Visrta to the north leaving us to soar in peace. We even avoided the storms all the way back to town the gliders never even got wet in the bags! A little rain fell during my flight but dried before landing, its reallly green in the LZ! Been raining all week the road shows it! John was able to get us to launch , even thou we did get out in a couple of places an clean up an unload the truck. The launch ramp looks great holding up well after the last repair, how many years ago? smooth an sweet!
