Support for Lane

Lane's family has organized a drive to generate support for Lane's recovery, which will be lengthy and expensive. I've found at least two different vehicles for donating to this cause:

Gingher posted this update on the AZHPA site:

Here is an update on Lane Lamareaux from Uncle Al. The flyer he speaks of is for a paintball event on Saturday April 6th from 8pm to 12am at 1401 S. McClintock Drive in Tempe. Use the website or phone number below for more information.

Hi Ginger-

Thank you for reaching out. Lane is still in California in Critical Condition. He has had multiple surgeries and is working towards being "Stable" enough to be transferred. He has be breathing more on his own and although he whispers he is able to speak and move his fingers and toes and eyes. He is also using complex words and sentences to hold conversations so it is believed the brain damage will be minimal if any. He has a long road ahead and much recovery but these are good signs. He also has multiple blood clots and the doctors are trying to balance controlling the clots and not thinning the blood too much.

In other news there are several events taking place in Lane's honor and with all proceeds going to Lane. I have attached the flier, we are hoping to get great attendance and raise money for Lane's recovery. We do have t-shirts and stickers available for sale. We have also created a community website page on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/savethelane

I am always available and appreciate your concern and your willingness to keep Lane relevant until he is home.

Respectfully,

Uncle Al

Another update on Lane from Gingher via Steve Konves (Bald Eagle).

Hey everyone!

Steve called today and asked that I post this message as he is on the road. Lane Lamareaux has been moved to Scottsdale Osborne Hospital and is in room 645. He said that Lane was in much better shape than he thought he would see, as he was eating and recognized him. He's been through more than 15 surgeries since January and was in a medically induced coma until recently after his terrible accident at Soboba.

That is great news and if you want to visit him, he would surely appreciate the support. Here's to the health and longevity of all our pilots!
