I need to get my wing out, I haven't been flying much lately. I'm thinking of going to the Fly-in. Who else is coming? Does anyone know what's best in terms of accommodation? Camping?
Anyone interested in carpooling? I can take my car or share the gas cost if anyone else wants to drive.

Ioan, it will be great to see you at the Craters, and it's a good place to knock the rust off your skills.

You can camp right at Sheba, which is where most folks will likely be staying, or you can also camp at Flyer's Camp in the forest, a few miles away. There are more details, including coordinates for Flyer's Camp, on the AZHPA forum.

For more civilized accommodations, Flagstaff is 30-45 minutes (depending which side of town) from the Craters. Jana and I are staying on the eastern edge of Flagstaff near a country club with several beautiful grassy LZs within walking distance.

I'm going to head up tomorrow, hopefully in time for a flight before the sun sets. I plan to camp at the Sheba LZ.
