SAHGA meeting reminder and agenda for November

Hi, everyone

Please don't forget that there will be a SAHGA meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 7 PM at the

Pizza Hut
2943 N Campbell Ave
Tucson

The following is the proposed agenda for this meeting.

- New business: None at this time
- Old business: Vote for previously proposed SAHGA bylaws changes: reduce the number of members required for a quorum from 7 to 5; and to allow meetings to be scheduled at intervals other than monthly, or irregularly, on dates and times established by the board of directors. Votes may be submitted in person at the meeting or by email or post on the members-only section of the message board (see http://www.sahga.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2643 for details).
- Awards: Eagle, Turkey and Pilot of the month.

Aviation Awareness Day
HG static display
HG tripod, simulator, harness
HG pilot to evaluate feasibility of foot launching from rim of The Pit on November 18th; bring glider for practice launch
Logistics for transporting awning, table and chairs
Meet @ 8:00 a.m. on November 18th at La Cholla Airpark for practice day
Even starts at 8:00 a.m. on December 7th at Naranja Park; Meet there early enough to set up

Turkey Wing 2013
November 23rd
Fun XC competition
No entry fee; random non-prizes
South Mountain or perhaps Humboldt as an alternative site

Andrew Rayhill is organizing
Race-to-goal and open-distance tasks
Mountain and towing
Designated dates from February through November
May also include a few solo flights, using some variant of Leonardo-type scoring
