Brown Fire closes Miller Canyon HG/PG

Flying at Miller Canyon is currently closed.

The Brown fire is currently burning in Garden Canyon, at about 300 acres (according to TV news reports this evening) with zero containment. See http://www.svherald.com/content/bill-he ... /14/372962

A TFR for fire operations has been posted covering a 5 nm radius around the fire, covering the entire Huachuca Mountains from the surface to 11500 MSL, see http://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_4_3296.html. The TFR is effective 4/15/14 at 5 AM MST through 4/20/14 at 10 PM.

A great source of intel for fires in the area and throughout the nation can be found by googling "sit report". It's the situation report for the nation and includes the hard data. Only the large fires make it on the report and the Brown is just large enough to get on it.
