Foreign Visitors and ratings

FYI : The USHGA is willing and able to issue an IPPI card for a 10$ fee. If the visitor has an international rating he may not need this. With some international rating cards no fee is required and the pilot is covered under the USHGA`s insurance. I was not able to view our visitors rating card so I can not make a call on this one. The ratings he referred to were not know to me or anyone I spoke to at the USHGA.
As always thirty day memberships are available.

Thanks for following up on this.
Our german visitor Guido (pronounced Geedo, with a hard 'G' as in 'guitar', rather than the italian pronunciation of Gooweedo) is eager to fly and did purchase a temporary membership to SAHGA. He's been flying for 2 years and has 40-50 flights/hours.

I'm sure he'd enjoy a glassoff at Mustang, and it appears that the weather is shaping up perfectly for that on Saturday.

meanwhile I also send an application for a temporary membership to the USHGA which is valid for 3 months. At the telephone they also told me that they accept the IPPI card for the insurance, so if you plan to fly this weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) , please give me a call or email me.

Question I forgot to ask you at Tuesday:
What is about radio units during your flights? On the cards I have seen some airports nearby. Is it necessary because of air traffic?

We use FM radios in the Ham frequencys,lower ham, well business band. 151.626...925...955.. etc.
Aviation frequencys are AM.
Hope you get some airtime.
