Friday Gunter and I went to a proposed new site in the Santa Rita's. It's a hike of course. Took me about 80 mins. But only an 800ft. climb. Anyway it is on the north end of the main ridgeline just east of Madera Canyon road. Launch is NW-SW. Conditions were perfect on arrival but quickly turned too north for anything good to happen. Gunter launched into the wrap and had a short "flight" to the bottom. The bail out LZ is absolutely the tightest I have ever seen (40' x 80'). This is not a beginner site! The prize to be had is that you could bench straight up to Mt. Wrightson on a good day. I hope I get to be one of those lucky souls.
