sunday at the A

Post by Chuck Park » Sun Jan 23, 2005 10:06 pm

Winds were generally east with a slight touch of south in them. Velocities ranged from five to 27. Until 3:00 pm. Eric got some good time and good altitude over the peak and over launch. Jason got some more time with good altitude mostly over the peak and its southeast corner. Mark got a sledder at the end of the day, and I followed him after the end of the day with a sledder of my own. Everyone was happy. Everyone had a successful launch and landing. And the everpresent sunday crowds got their fill of information and nice launches. Corridas, rap, mexican cigarrettes and mota wafted through the air. Along with a bouncing and rattling lowrider. How could anyone think this is "possibly the worst hanggliding site in the world." I could'nt feel more at home if I was flying off the Fray Marcos de Niza in Nogales.

The quote in HG magazine by Larry Tudor was "possible the worst soaring site in North America"
I agree thou, It was a lot of fun flying with the rc`s in close and soaring with the hawks.
Thanks for the launch, Chuck.
