I know it is a ways off but Gunter and I are starting to make plans to go to California again. We are planning on several days in the Tehachapi Pass/Bakersfield area, then on to the annual Memorial DAy fly in at Slick Rock in the Sierra's. Then we might bop over to the Owens Valley for a couple of days -conditions permitting of course. All of this area is incredible flying opportuniites for people of all skill levels. To top it off, if we get blown out there is awsome hiking and kayaking nearby.

Well the fly in at Slick Rock is Fri. May 27th- Sun. May 29. It would be nice to get a couple of warm up days before hand. Although the Slick Rock launch is better than what we have here it is darn intimidating. Think of a granite dome that drops off to a cliff and you get the idea. So a couple more days up front and a couple of days afterwards to try for that elusive epic Owens Valley flight and you get the idea.
