It's GM's stalwart 4.3L V6. 190hp with 250ft-lbs of Torque.
It's been completely trouble free.

I get 20mpg on the highway- but subtract 1mpg for each glider on the roof.

17mpg in the city. 21mpg on my (easy) commute.
