Looks like maybe Box on Sat PM and Mustang on Sunday PM. I have the mother of all 4x4 pickups and can haul a bunch of PGs up the backside of Box, but I don't have HG racks.
I'll check wind forecast Sat AM and post my plans.

The desert looks terrific. The ocotillo are leafed out and velvety green. The grass is thigh-high. Started hiking at 2:30PM. The trail is so overgrown, we were basically bushwhacking. Summited the first knoll at 3:30PM. Winds were NW, biased to the N, nice velocity, thermally. I launched the north s...

low stress flyin this weekend
It's been ages since I last flew, so flinging off Lemmon is not a prudent option for me, but box or mustang would be appropriate in the right conditions. I've got the mother of all 4x4 pickups and can haul lots of pgs up the backside of box. Sorry stiffies, no rack. I'll be watching the weather and ...

PG Instructor
Must be the weather. I've received several calls recently of folks in Tucson interested in PG lessons. Isn't there a USHPA instructor in the area? Perhaps in Sierra Vista? I seem to remember someone moving into the area a year or two ago that had their instructor rating.

Anybody know how Lew's surgery went? Is he at home or still in the hospital?

This news is terribly upsetting. You have to love Lew for his enthusiasm and his joie de vivre. I'm thankful he is alive and hope he makes a full recovery. Thank you Aaron and Soren for top landing and everyone else for coordinating the rescue. There is a lot of history that makes this accident espe...
