only the paranoid survive
Thanks for sharing your stories. I'm not sure if it makes me feel better or worse knowing that we all make mistakes. We're human, and there's no way around it. Success breeds complacency and complacency breeds failure. Only the paranoid survive! Let's all be paranoid- and live to fly another day.

I flew for a few hours at Torrey on Monday and Tuesday. Easy, fun and pretty. Lotsa' great kiting practice, Green grass, smooth air, easy lift... and tiny naked people down below. I nominate myself for Turkey of the month, as I had my first TIWTIWGD story on monday. After a couple hours of flying, l...

Carbon XS?
I've got an XS Nova Carbon. 65Kg-85Kg Only 50-60 hours on her in the last 2 years. Not using her much these days as I've got a new baby. So, I'm thinking of downgrading from a DHV 1-2 (the Carbon) to something less sporty and more stable (DHV 1), as I may only get to fly a few times a year. It's yel...

Pablo, Welcome to town. Thanks for joining SAHGA. We don't have membership cards, as we're a pretty small group and we all know each other. Instead, your name and pertinent info will get emblazoned on our roster, and you'll begin to receive our monthly newsletter. However, I've been out of town for ...

Wildhorse
The site north of Benson that Daryl pioneered is called Wildhorse. It's a nice bowl that faces, methinks, SE to ENE. It would certainly benefit from Launch and LZ clearing, but is doable as is. P2 only in very mellow conditions. LZ has a lot of trees and obstructions. Yeah, the 4WD road requires a r...

Yes. the Mustangs are a paragliding site- and a fairly forgiving one at that (by arizona standards). However, the wind forcast has turned a bit more westerly from southwesterly as it was yesterday. As the Mustangs are better in a SW than a W, it may or may not work today. But, you'll need to find so...

Who's Pov?
Who's Pov?
Any relation to Pav?
Wow- sounds like a fun flight over spectacular terrain.
Now that our front LZ on the corner of the River and Swan has been built up- any new place to land closer to home that you've found?

Not that I can go, but that doesn't stop me from checking the weather and dreaming. Saturday appears to be shaping up perfectly for late day flying at the Mustangs. Light southwest.
